The deal, in plain words

OuterView shows you what is happening in the world, with every fact's source and time. Use it freely. Don't break it, don't use it to harm people, and understand that the information comes from the sources named and can be wrong or late.

1. Who

OuterView is operated by its founder in the United States; OuterView LLC takes over these terms when it is formed. "We" means the operator. "You" means anyone using outerview.world, its pages, its embed or its apps.

2. The information

News, events, hazards, weather, flights, launches and facts come from the sources named on each item. We show their headline, their time and a link; we do not verify every item.
AI summaries and answers are labeled "AI summary" or "AI answer" and list their sources. They can be wrong. Check the source before you act on anything that matters.
Disaster and safety information is shown fast and plainly, but it is not an official warning. Follow your local authorities.
Business listings and, later, group posts are written by the people who posted them and are labeled so. We have not checked them.

3. Your account and your content

You must be 13 or older. One account per person. Keep your sign-in email yours.
What you post (a business listing today, meetups and posts later) stays yours. You give us the right to show it on the globe, on pages and in share cards, and to translate and summarize it, for as long as it is on OuterView.
You confirm you may post it: it is yours, or you represent the business or group, and it breaks no law.
We can remove anything, and close any account, that is false, abusive, dangerous, spam, or that pretends to be someone else. We tell you why when we can.

4. What you may not do

Scrape or bulk-download the pages or the API beyond what the embed and the share links allow. Ask us for a feed instead.
Post fake listings, fake events, fake reviews or anything meant to mislead.
Use OuterView to track, locate or target a person. Live positions of people, protesters, police or troops are never shown, by design.
Resell or republish the data as your own.

5. Bookings and partners

Tickets, stays, flights, tours and tables are sold by the partner you are sent to, under that partner's terms. We are not the seller. Some links earn us a share; they are labeled and the price is the partner's.

6. Paid features

When Pro and promoted listings launch, their prices and what they include will be shown before you pay, and you can cancel any time for the next period. Promoted means labeled; it never changes which facts you see.

7. No warranty, limited liability

OuterView is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it accurate and available, and we make no promise that it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made on the information shown, for partner bookings, or for anything beyond what you paid us in the last 12 months.

8. Changes and the law

We may change these terms; the date at the top changes and big changes are announced in the app. These terms follow the laws of the United States and the state where the operator is based. Questions: [email protected].
